Kiomars Ghorchian was born in 1952/ 1331 in Tehran. He is a graduate of the Higher School of Television and Cinema and has a bachelor's degree in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. During the years of his activity and creation of works of art, Ghorchian received a first-class artistic certificate - equivalent to a PhD - in the field of painting from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. He has had about 50 solo exhibitions and 60 group exhibitions so far, including a solo exhibition in the international city of Paris-Cité. Participating in art competitions and winning prizes and commendation plaques, including the first rank in the design and painting section of the Rain Festival, are other activities of Kiomars Ghorchian. He is a member of the International City of Artists in Paris and a member of the Iranian Painters' Association.
