Originally from Copenhagen, Mikael Christian Strøbek has been based in Berlin since 2010, combining his expertise in architecture and design with an artistic practice deeply rooted in abstraction. Using industrial materials such as glass, steel and stone, he elevates banal elements into timeless works of art. "I try to emphasize the preciousness of everything by reimagining these everyday materials," confides the artist. His work, though seemingly minimalist, is based on methodical rigor. Seriality and repetition are central to his creative process. Each work explores fundamental geometric forms - circle, square, triangle - and their potential to transcend cultural and personal differences.
